Assistinghands ColumbusParticipantMy family has started talking about future support for an older parent even though they’re still doing fairly well at home. We figured it might be easier to understand our options now instead of waiting until there’s an urgent situation and everyone has to make decisions quickly. Right now, the main concerns are things like keeping up with household chores, meals, errands, and having someone available when family members are busy. We’re not looking to make any major changes while they’re still independent, but having a general idea of what’s available would give us some peace of mind. I’ve been researching home care Columbus options and trying to understand how families gradually add support as needs change. Planning could also give our parent more say in what kind of help they’re comfortable with, rather than making those decisions during a stressful situation.
